Conditions for individual persons or groups

General

The minimum number of participants 1, the maximum is 6, because of the crowds in public transport in Budapest;

All tours are given personally. Julius is not a licensed guide nor affiliated to any organization;

Tours are given in Dutch or English;

Participation in the guided tours is at your own risk. Before the start of the tour you will be informed about the tour and possible risk factors which could, reasonably, be present;

Neither Julius nor the legal owner of the registered domain names and websites is responsible for any damage whatsoever caused during a tour. The customer is considered during the tour to be insured against accidents;

Guided tours can be modified at any time if circumstances indicate that the chosen means of transport at the time of the tour is not available. There are more than enough alternatives to circumvent this annoyance, at most the duration of the tour is a bit longer, but this does not affect the costs involved in a tour;

Tours, if the itinerary permits, at the request of a customer amended, extended or shortened, both before and during the tour. If no other tours planned, may, if the client so wishes, be on the tour decided to extend a visit to a museum;

Shortening of the tour, at the request of the customer, will not affect the cost of the tour. However expansion c.q. extension, will give an extra fee;

If a customer during a tour wants something to drink or eat, is the time this involved, from influence on the time of the tour;

Tours are not held on fixed dates or times. A customer can, preferably by mail, make a reservation for a tour with metioning the date, a tour in the morning or afternoon and how many people take part on the tour. In the periods, indicated on this site, that Julius stays in Budapest, there can also be booked by telephone (see below for reservations);

In case there are still a customer sign up for the same tour and the maximum number is not yet reached, the customer can also take part on the tour, unless the first booker don't allow. The first booker has always the vetoright  to decide if extra persons take part at the tour. This right will expire 24 hours before the start of a tour;

All tours start in a coffee house near the hotel or apartment where the customer resides. In agreement, the customer can also be picked up at the hotel where he or she stays, and in that case the tour start from the hotel;

In all tours public transport in Budapest and the two feet will be used;

Custom-made tours are arranged following the wishes of a client and, if feasible in terms of time and resources. Guided tours that in any way are in violation with the law (or come in conflict with), especially in Hungary and elsewhere, will not be held by Julius. These also include drug-related cases. Also tours related to sexual affairs, prostitution, night clubs, etc. wiil not be held by Julius;

May prove that a customer Julius has hired under false pretenses, then the appointment by Julius unilaterally without a statement of reason to be canceled and, if there is any suspicion of criminal acts or incitement to it, the police shall be informed about;

Language: Julius works hard to learn the Hungarian language, but it's a difficult process, and it often occur that Julius with the tongue-tied state.

Reservations

Bookings can normally only be done via the mail form on this site. Here is the procedure that the customer indicates on a certain date (and part of the day) want to book a tour. Upon receipt of this booking will be examined or the date and time are still free, and if it is possible, the customer receives a confirmation email. The date is from that moment on reserved;

By making a booking you agree to the terms and conditions as described on this page;

In the periods, indicated on this site, that Julius in Budapest, there can also be booked via the telephone number:   (+36) 30-7321269 [from the Netherlands: 0036307321269]. Reservations or questions by email are preferred, because email several times a day will be read and answered.

Payments and prices

The payment of a tour will take place after the tour. Julius is based on trust;

Payments in Budapest are possible both in € and HUF. Payments in HUF be calculated on the daily exchange rate;

The costs for a day ticket for public transport, refreshments or lunch, entrance fee of a museum and so on are not included unless mentioned on the page of the tour;

handicapted(Physical-) constraints

All tours are in the current form not suitable for disabled, particularly wheelchair users and people with reduced mobility. Optionally a solution can be sought, but there willl be extra charges, and it's no guarantee that you are able to see all. For people with a stoma, there is no problem, enough toilets are on the route. Other physical disabilities: do not hestitate to send an email with your question;

Several tours, such as the Graffiti tour, Garden City tour, Kozma tour and Budapest with 10-11 kinds of transport, causes that several kilometers shall be walked, so a reasonable condition is recommended..

Force majeur / default

Julius is based on a reliable world, so expect that if you have booked the tour goes ahead. However, if you (unexpectedly) be prevented, then Julius asks you friendly, that you as soon as possible informing him about the cancelation;

If by force majeure, for example in connection with an emergency or a travel warning from the (Dutch) government, a tour has to be canceled, gets the customer the opportunity to follow the tour at a later date

Naturally, also Julius can cancel a tour, such as his health throw spanner in the works. If so, you'll be informed as quickly as possible.

Conditions for companies 

General

As a company want to make use of the services of Julius and one or more tours want to book, this will be discussed (in a personal meeting or by email). If Julius is in Budapest, only the cost per participant per guided tour is charged. Depending on the number of guided tours, can a discount be given on the total price;

If Julius does not stay in Budapest (which is very unlikely), then the company that hires Julius, also have to pay for the flight and transportation costs (minimum: flight, hotel and other transportation costs), this in addition to the cost of tour(s);

Payment must be done before the departure of Julius, but the company has the choice to pay the total bill in once or to pay an advance payment of 20% and the rest afterwards (within 14 days after the period Julius is hired). This is to be flexible if changes are necessary. The cost of any flight and hotel are not included and must be paid by the company before Julius departs to Budapest;

Because of a final rejection and 100% disability benefit, Julius can not and should not launch an official company and also a Dutch Chamber of Commerce registration lacks till it is possible. Julius is not subject to VAT;

The health of Julius will not affect the carrying out tours. If the unlikely event happens that Julius health worsens, the company has hired Julius, will in a very early stage accordingly be informed. However, Julius has the health problems well under control;

Unlike individual persons, may, if a company hires Julius, at certain fixed times tours be given;

If Julius is in Budapest, a company can also hire Julius if an individual client of them needs support;

If a company hires Julius, the payments run between Julius and the company. The company's clients do not pay directly to Julius;

Regarding other conditions, notably on matters contrary to the law, Julius refers to the general conditions for individuals. These also apply to companies.

Reservations

Requests for bookings for business can normally only be done via the mail form on this site. Here you should clearly indicate what plans you have in your head, dates, number of people so as soon as possible after Julius will contact you to discuss the issues.

Prices


Private tours described on this website and applying to individual persons:
1-2 participants: € 40,00  
3-4 participants: € 50,00
5-6 participants: € 60,00

* The price is independent of the exact duration of the tours, most last between 3.5 and 4 hours. Do you want an extension that lasts longer than 30 minutes, you pay a surcharge of € 10,00 per hour (independent of the number of participants).

Custom-made guided tours, or to arrange things by Julius:
1-2 participants: € 40,00  
3-4 participants: € 50,00
5-6 participants: € 60,00
Note: These amounts are without costs such as booking of a concert or the use of public transport;

Tours for / on behalf of companies:
By appointment, depending on needs. Maximum cost for the hiring of Julius: € 100.00 per day for the period between 09.00 and 18.00 hours (excluding travel expenses / hotel if Julius stays not in Budapest).

Note (both for individuals as companies): These terms and prices are established on October 7, 2012 and can be changed at any time. If you have made a booking, and the prices changes afterwards, then you have to pay the price as listed on the day of your booking.
